Such Talent...

 I've mentioned on numerous occasions that I am an aunt.  A saavy auntie that is.  Either way, I truly adore each and every one of my nieces and nephews!  They are all unique in their own little way.  I love them for that and so much more!

I have to say, we know how to breed 'em!  (LOL)  We have some talented kiddos in our family!  From a variety of athletics to highly skilled academic stars to creative artists...we've got it covered in this fam!

I'm so proud of my brothers and sister for parenting talent too, by the way!  I only hope and pray I can bring the same talent to the table.  (And I'm thinking..."duh, of course I can!")

Here are a few snippets from my family to yours...

Megan (far left) plays softball, volleyball, and she cheers!

Taylor hunts and runs cross country.  He also scored a 28 on the ACT as a 8th GRADER, with a perfect score in reading!

Hannah and Andrew both play soccer.  She is doing very well in school...reading well above grade level!

Darien plays football, basketball, and soccer.  
He's also above grade level in reading and brings home wonderful reports!

Meechy (Demetris) is loving life and on his way to high school next year!

McCoy, Jackson, and Caden...t-ballers, baseballers, and talented academic stars.

... Just a few reasons behind my blessings.

In Springtime...

What greater joy than that of beautiful Spring flowers and trees in bloom, babies "sprouting", abundant sunshine, light breezes blowing, birds chirping, pools opening, and so much more?!  It's simply delightful!  I cannot effectively communicate to you just how excited I am to have fully exited the doors of Winter.  As I've mentioned before, Winter is NOT my friend...we just can't seem to find ourselves a happy medium (Winter and I).  

As not to bore, I'd simply like to share the pleasures that come from this delightful time of year.  Beware...it's incredibly lengthy.  But, for good reason, you know!

1. Our Lord and Savior will rise!  

"He lives!  He lives!  

Christ Jesus lives today! 

He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way!

He lives! He lives!  

Salvation to impart...

You ask me how I know He lives...

He LIVES within my heart!"

2. The Run for the Roses...Kentucky Derby!

3. SUNSHINE!

4. Flowers blooming!

6. Babies being born!

7. Let the GARDENING begin!

8. It's grillin' time!

9. Opening of the pool!

10. I can start compiling my list of inspirations for Summer!

Saavy Auntie, I am...

With Spring, comes Spring Break!  To push any and all worries aside, I opted to spend a portion of my break with my nephew, Darien.  We took a road trip to Clarksville, TN (Fort Campbell, KY) to gain some QT with my sister and his other aunt, RaeAnne, and her BF, Tom.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves visiting RaeAnne's office and checking out some pretty cool airplanes, tanks, and helicopters.  We wore ourselves out at the Customs House (Children's Museum), in Clarksville, exploring a bubble cave, pretend grocery shopping, and taking on a force and motion exhibit.

From there, we took on Chuck E. Cheese.  Enough said...

Afterward, we treated ourselves to Cold Stone Creamery and the movie, "Hop"...very cute!


Upon our awakening the third day, we watched the movie "Secretariat" for a THIRD time.  IHOP treated us with a tasty brunch before our ride home...delicious, as always!

All in all, my dreams of an enjoyable SB were achieved!  


*Aside from the trip, I've had lunch with friends, a 1 month old photo shoot (with the most adorable little Miss May), cleaned the kitchen, a pedicure, and who knows what's to come tomorrow.  Do I see a massage in my future?

G-O...GO, GO, GO!

I've gone back and forth with ideas of what and how I can both give to my community and strengthen my relationship with Jesus Christ.  By community, I don't just mean Shelbyville, KY.  Although we have many opportunities for missions within this marvelous Kentucky town, I have felt the need to serve others in my world community, not so close to my roots.  I want to be able to share with others the joys I have gained from my hometown.  I want to give to them through my actions and physical abilities.  I want to share with them the gifts our God has relentlessly provided me over the years.


I have a deep and special place in my heart for children.  I want to extend my heartfelt desire for such a mission to reach  children in other places.  I want to to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children, and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.  


I know that putting to play a decision as this requires a team.  I'm in search for that team.  I want to lead them toward the Global Outreach  (G.O.) Ministries and the great opportunities they can provide.  I'm still in the decision making stage of this journey, but I want to share this journey with about 9 others that wish to partake in my same visions.


Maybe WE can save the world, one child at a time.  With that, I leave you with this...
